Mission Statement and Critical Functions
Your disaster recovery and continuity plan should support the process of recovering from a disaster or other event in such a way as to lessen its impact on your organization's ability to carry out its mission.
On the Mission Statement and Critical Functions form, document your organization's mission statement. Then, considering the mission statement, list at least the five most critical functions required to perform your mission.
Please note that functions may include programs or services your organization provides to the community, administrative departments or processes within your organization, or processes involved with fundraising efforts, such as writing grants or holding fundraisers. You will use these functions to help determine the most critical assets of your organization.
